I've been able to get the latest alsa dev working (2016-04-02) by following the
instructions here (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/UpgradingAlsa), installing the
"alsa daily development build" and rebooting. If you've followed the
instructions in my previous answer, you can simply

sounds like there is a bug in the snap packaging for htop since it isn't
requesting the system-observe plug. If you are the developer of the htop
snap, simply adjust your packaging as mentioned then the snap connect

I installed linux 4.4.0-23.41 from yakkety-proposed, and that fixed the
issue.
Fortunately I didn't meet the problem on xenial; the problem was linux
4.4.0-22 on Ubuntu 16.10, but since it's fixed in -proposed, it will
soon be history, right?

The postgis package contained shp2pgsql-gui which has a dependency on
libglib2.0-0 & libgtk2.0-0, these pull in various other graphics related
library packages.
In postgis (2.2.2+dfsg-2~exp1) the shp2pgsql-gui has been moved to a

I've given up on KDE. Too many screen artifacts in menus and text (within
terminal). No update, video driver, or number of reboots would fix it. So
I'm back to Gnome / Unity. Plus, Gnome/Unity feels more Linux like.

I tried to setup MAAS behind an authenticating proxy.
When trying to enter "http://foo:bar@proxy/; in the Settings -> Network
Configuration -> Proxy for APT and HTTP/HTTPS, I get "Enter a valid URL." as an
error.
