As a clarification, the mainline boot behaviour is identical to the Ubuntu
kernel with $vt_handoff removed. I double checked that the option is

It looks like the problem is solved in 16.04. I had this problem uneder
14.04 but now, it's gone. Cryptkeeper version is 0.9.5.

Hi. You're my hero because you work for canonical.
Anyway I get this issue with openjdk9 when I first log in to xubuntu
from lightdm. I had openjdk8 installed, switched to 9, then switched
back and this has happened since.
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
I've been too lazy/busy to even attempt to look into this, so I wouldn't
be surprised if it's something simple, stupid, and/or my fault. Feel
free to close as ID10t error.

I have rebased the patch on the newest version in trusty updates
apache2_2.4.7-1ubuntu4.13, which includes the security fix. The updated
debdiff is attached.
