With the to-be-uploaded new patch version of Qt 5.6.1, the function will

I have this problem on Linux Mint 17.1 (Ubuntu 14.04 base) too on a
Lenovo T420s with Optimus graphics using the Nvidia card as primary.
It seems to work as expected if I put the screens in order [LVDS-1-0] --
[VGA-1-0] -- [DP-3] from left to right, but if I put DP-3 in the middle,
I can't
I tested this in a trusty lxc. Updated sudo to 1.8.9p5-1ubuntu1.3 and:
# mkdir -p /snap/bin
# cp $(which echo) /snap/bin/echo-test
# su ubuntu
$ sudo echo-test test

The situation is crazy.
I have -43, -42, -38 and -36 kernels.
The bug is not in "quiet splash" option.
All of them can boot only 1 of 8 times, no matter which one, no matter
whether "quiet splash" is present or not.
It is probably not bug in kernel.

It all happened after update of packages few days ago.
Before that all
Whether the equivalent tap exists or not is besides the point, because, for
one, libinput is supposed to handle what kind of tap it is, and second,
middle-clicks are still triggered by tapping top-right corner of the
touchpad.
