I am in the process of verifying this performance regression on a 16.04
Xenial machine using the kernel Linux-4.4.0-38.
I ran a locally compiled python 2.7.12 version built with different
versions of GCC, 5.3.1 (current) and 4.8.0 both coming from the Ubuntu
archives.

Would be nice. I'd rather have this from the repository than compile and
install it myself. And there are quite a few other Pound users out there
who would also like to protect their websites properly...

I was able to get Yubikey 4 working by reinserting it. Also I checked
and sounds like it works with e.g. U2F and GPG without reinsertion, so
it has some kind of multi-function support.

Ok, gnutls backport "complete" although we should jump on gnutls 3.5.7
whenever it gets released IMHO.
I prepped the gnutls fix as debdiff and the backpedal on libvirt which takes
back our tries to get around the issue.

@Colin, Sure it definitely needs to be improved. As I said above, this
is just a cheap way to get us going, and the proper fix is a
transactional storage on disk.
@Mark, Yes, we can prune based on number of changes as well. It's not
expensive. That's a good trick to get us going farther.

One important note - exit code 1 is still error so your PR:

does not address root cause.
It will allow for another way to detect "snap already installed" failure (using
exit code rather than string) but calls like this will still cause traceback:

As a workaround I downloaded libpoppler58 .deb and the libpng12 .deb
which it required, then put them in the same folder and ran from that
folder in terminal...
sudo dpkg -i libpoppler58_0.41.0-0ubuntu1.1_i386.deb
libpng12-0_1.2.54-1ubuntu1_i386.deb
...before attempting to install Inkscape stable

I have a corporate wifi network in my office with multiple AP's and i
often see it disconnect and ask for the password again usually
entering the password doesnt fix it. i assume this is the same issue.

I can reproduce this with the 2.16 release of snapd. It looks like its
loosing the "snap-id" on disable/enable.
However with the 2.17.1 release available in xenial-proposed and
yakkety-proposed this bug is no longer reproducible. The fix is part of
the 6930f996dc7fd42a1ca610fe0fcfa1b7a20f24c9 com
