Yeah it's an unfortunate and annoying issue I can't figure out :-(
So it's the qemu process that goes to 100% after live migration, and the
guest becomes unresponsive via VNC console and over the network. Libvirt
seems fine, and the live migration appears to complete successfully

It doesn't seem to be to do with user settings as I have tried making a new
user and it fails for that user also.
I can also confirm that it is ok on Wayland, which is not surprising.
