OK, I can reproduce the bug now. Only in Xorg sessions and not Wayland.
Although performance isn't great even when it is working so I strongly
recommend using 'mpv' to play your videos instead. mpv will give you
smoother playback with lower CPU.

By the way, one possible reason why you were unable to follow comment #2
is that gdm is designed to catch mutter/gnome-shell crashes in the
Wayland backend (which it tries first). If such a crash occurs then it
is meant to automatically fall back to Xorg.
Regardless of whether the
I didn't know how to log into "Ubuntu" instead of "Ubuntu on Wayland"
since I only got a blinking cursor and no logon prompt. I edited
/etc/gdm3/custom.conf and rebooted.
Successfully got a GUI logon prompt and was able to log in to the
desktop.

Gnome-shell won't lock screen anymore

I can't see any problem in the files attached so far. We need a log file
covering the period of time when the problem actually happened. To get
that please:
1. Reproduce the problem.
2. Reboot and then immediately run:

expected [1]. And I assume you are using Xorg if you have the Nvidia
driver installed.

I would say remove Yaru here. The theme can't directly control whether
the dialog is too small and needs wrapping. Although it can control the
dialog size indirectly with some tweaks, but doing that would be a hack.

driver, and I have two Dell U2415 monitors connected via DisplayPort

When using nagios to monitor the Nagios host itself, if the host is not
a container, the template for checking the disk space on the Nagios host
does not exclude any snap filesystems. This means we get a Critical
report if any snap is installed.

We know that these flash players are about to disappear forever, but
