(packages) that contain AppStream metadata. They are displayed in Snap

I've managed to create a procedure that duplicates this problem without
the involvement of MAAS, except for one file pulled from MAAS. The
procedure is awkward, but it reproduces the problem. Here's the
procedure:
1) Ensure that Secure Boot is enabled.

I am running deja-dup in Ubuntu 20.04 (Focal Fossa), which has
duplicity/focal,now 0.8.11.1612-1 and deja-dup/focal,now 40.6-1ubuntu2.
When I run deja-dup as myself, it runs fine, but when I launch it with
sudo, it fails:

Same fix works for bionic's autofs 5.1.2.
/etc/auto.smb is already quoting the paths, so escaping these characters
before that quoting just makes the escape character "\" a literal, and
then things fail.

Failing to shutdown/power off or reboot on AMD Ry
Follow up:
Extensions deactivated, still Froze 3 times, but everytime I use the
"kill -ABRT " doesn't creat a crash file. There are
crash files for some programs like Nautilus and Terminator. But not for
the gnome-shell
Also I tried with sudo once but nothing.

opend (for example to upload some files) all icons are missing. Files
and folders have no icon (see attached screenshot).
