This is caused by a syntax change in /proc/version
Since I had no /proc/version for ubuntu I had to guess, the issue was
resolved for the distros that I got to see samples from, but I have yet
to see a /proc/version output for ubuntu kernel 5.8.
Note this is NOT a bug in inxi because the syntax
`journalctl -u snapd` shows the same entries as `journalctl
_SYSTEMD_UNIT=snapd.service`.
So, still no info, what snap was doing at the time.

I see. As you say, the two closed-source binaries are pretty minor, and
in the case of edidparser, is no longer the recommended tool for parsing
EDIDs, according to a Pi forum thread I read. There's something about
the Pi 4 EDID output that it doesn't handle quite right.
Both tools only get used

neither the --classic workaround nor sudo snap connect tiled:removable-
media works. Between this and the other issues people have noted with
snap, it seems like it is just bad software and the team is not doing a

saving mode after laptop suspend or in few minutes after system lock. So ubuntu

It seems once fixed the system is ok and I can't get into the bad state

I tried on another bad system (withotu changing back to the former version)
1. A restart of the service
2. Trying to force capabilities reset (remove cache) + service restart
None of these got it into the good case,
I suppose we could have a manpage for snapd (a very brief one). Snapctl
on the other hand, is intended to be used as a internal tool, so I doubt
it needs a manpage.
