This bug has recurred since devices now have different names on newer
udev/kernel/Ubuntu versions. I now have an eno1 device, but /etc/network
/if-pre-up.d/vlan hardcodes the following list:
eth*.0*|bond*.0*|wlan*.0*|em*.0*|p[0-9]*.0*)
Which means that "iface eno1.213" no longer matches

I have this problem after installing mysql-server - it's like the job is
not picked up. Doing a `kill -HUP 1` causes things to work how they
should, and then I can start and stop the mysql job.
I am running within an LXC container on Precise.

I've compared the version of this package in Lucid and Precise, and the
Lucid version worked correctly (as that patch was already part of the
Debian packaging).

--raw=/dev/svs4/vmbuilt-disk --mem=512 --user=iweb --pass=xxx
--rootpass=xxx

This may be a grub1 problem; we were running this kernel version under
grub1 (because that's what vmbuilder does) and KVM and had two machines
fail to boot. Editing the root kernel parameter from the UUID to
/dev/sda1 and booting allowed us to boot correctly. Upgrading to the
latest kernel
I can confirm that, with an R519, the setpci operations work under
10.04.
Setting /proc/acpi/video/GFX0/DD03/brightness does not (it says it
updates: does nothing).
xrandr doesn't work when setting the backlight to legacy:
# xrandr --output LVDS1 --set BACKLIGHT_CONTROL legacy

I can confirm this with the virsh and virt-managers in 9.10 and 10.04.

Hi,
This is a serious regression; how come it was marked as fixed? I would
prefer to run the current LTS for my application, but if realpath
returns non-false on non-existent files then that's not possible. I
could wait for Lucid, I suppose; isn't 8.04.4 out soon?

It happens with 8.10 also. Not tried any 9.04 betas.
What information can I provide to help with the report?
The machine is a HP ProLiant ML380, CCISS RAID 1 as the only disk,
doing a preseed install.
