Go ahead and close the bug report. It was some time
ago and have switched to Xubuntu and have not seen
a problem.
I know that there are number of things keeping the team
busy and this is not that important. IMHO.

Started having problems with alpha-6 March 11th, 12th,
and today's March 13th daily-live/current ISO images.
amd64 install on amd64 x 2 system hangs after
first screen selection comes up but the language
select screen does not pop us. Arrows and keyboard
do not do anything.

Both fail at boot at the first screen to select install, test CD,
test memory,
No arrow key movement of highlighted text nor function key
either. This done with both ps/2 keyboard and USB

So, I did the remove firefox-3.
Did an install for firefox-2 using adept-manager. No firefox.
sudo find / -name firefox
returns
