In Xubuntu 11.10, a fresh install, the autoplay app for audio cd's
points to exaile.
This is wrong of course, since exaile is not installed in the default
image. The included media player, parole, plays audio cd's fine. Please
correct the autoplay default to parole.

But I'm on Xubuntu here, Rhythmbox was not installed by default in my install?
Also, the autoplay for audio cd's starts totem, does this not mean it's the
default in Xubuntu?

Upstream closed the report. Upstream comment:
CDDA support was removed from totem in August 2007. You can still play audio
CDs if you open the right URI manually (for the GStreamer backend, that'd be
cdda://track-number, so you can still play other tracks by adding cdda://2
etc), but you should

Since only Totem is installed by default, I thought one other player
would be enough. Out of curiosity, what's so different with Mplayer and
these two?
Both Sound juicer and Rhythmbox play the cd fully.
I also tested 2 other cds with all four apps (Mplayer, Totem, those
two), and got the same

The cropdetect filter (to automatically recognize black bands) doesn't work at

The video plays fine, but cropdetect gives no output.

I have this too, with a 855G.
Setting depth to 16bits had no effect, but disabling acceleration
(noaccel true) fixed it..
So I must think it's in the acceleration code..

Actually, it's 99% dependable to happen. Sucks.
