After update and reboot, severe delay occurs to log in due to network
not available. After about 2-3 minutes login worked. No network, no
sound and maybe other items. Upon further troubleshooting, the network
module is not being loaded. Loading it enabled network. Details

messages noting that "it works with the flatpak". Out of curiosity (as
to whether this might be a well and truly arm64 specific problem), I
tried the flatpak on the pi desktop and: it's got exactly the same

Unfortunately we've tried "G_DEBUG=fatal_warnings" before (you suggested
it back in comment:4) but I did manage to figure out a couple of things
since last time:
The crash I originally observed (back in comment:6) only occurs on the
very first run of totem. All subsequent runs (even after a reboot
boot/config.txt where they won't work.
Will attach a patch shortly (and see if there's anything to merge from
RaspiOS while I'm at it).

have found, in the course of investigating that one that we may either
need to switch the ISO test to use an OGG (or OGV) file instead (or
It appears to take 250MB resident (according to top) on my Raspberry Pi
400 even when the software is "closed". On a machine with 4GB, this is

the cause of any serious issues like kernel hangs. The lightning bolt
not being visible simply means that the undervolt condition is not
sustained, but nevertheless any such warnings indicate that your power
supply is dropping

package dealt with it, but it should be fixed for the next point release

@mardy I would be very surprised if SD card corruption was the issue
here. The cards I'm using for test have had no issues booting any of the
images so far (and typically whenever I've seen SD corruption before
it's usually pretty obvious from boot time).

I've semi-replicated this, but it seems extremely variable and I haven't
managed to come up with a working theory as to why. To be clear, the
pattern of behaviour (from the perspective of the user) is:
* After initial setup, the login screen appears
* Users logs in
* Desktop appears with Firefox i
Oh good grief, not 10 seconds after submitting this, snapd apparently
got itself sorted out and firefox appeared (bear in mind this is a good
10 minutes after the first boot). Will investigate a bit further ...

On a fresh install of the Jammy preinstalled desktop for Raspberry Pi,
when testing on a Pi 400 (but not other Pi 4 models, so far), snapd
failed to install/seed properly on first boot with the result that no
Firefox icon appears on the launcher. The problem re-occurred follow
