I also think that the ubuntu specific changes have been fixed upstream.
Note that osmo currently does not build with dash as the default shell
(debian bug #580017). I am really busy now but will try to fix this the
next weekend or so.

Short update from my end: I have installed the latest driver version 13
and removed -DENABLE_LPS from the makefile. After that WLAN was working

I tried the unpatched original driver from Realtek I attached in #153 on the
ppa-mainline kernel v2.6.32 (because of comment #62) but I crashed with a
kernel panic after some time.

A further update by me is that if the *.kdb.lock file is missing on startup
(and there is not the question popping up about openenind an accessed file)
KeePassX crashes after the password promt.
If I start it again with the now existing .kdb.lock file it works
Short update: I compiled KeePassX from source and actually it runs
smoothly on 9.10 64bit

I have had the same issue on my Toshiba Qosmio X 500-10V but this thread
is an acceptable workaround.
What I did:
1) Installed the backport from comment 35
2) Installed hda-verb as described in comment 15 and used the script from
comment 25 cause I received the error from comment 24
3) Added

The underyling issue appears to be a race condition, i.e. the crash
depends on the timing of things. To explain, after changing the window
size, Yakuake used to update the Height and Width menus by clearing them
and then re-filling them with new actions. This used to work fine, but
in Qt 4.5 it

As Ubuntu is already in feature freeze for Jaunty, no new upstream
versions are allowed (as long as they don't fix critical bugs), so 0.2.6
won't make it into Jaunty.
A .deb package is already uploaded to Debian Sid and will propagate to
Ubuntu automatically after Jaunty is released. If you want
osmo 0.2.4 has a feature like this: If a due date is set, a menu item
Recurrent task appears above the description. There, you can define a
repetition period. Once you have reached the due date of the task, you
can press the button with the blue arrow to the right (Change due date
to the next day)

and it does not crash any more. Everything works fine here.

We interact with files to be sent or received via DCC via standard
KDE/Qt library functions and KDE KIO, not ever by manually running
commands on a shell.
Also, note that the above feature is disabled by default.
