Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: f-spot
This bug is in upstream, but I report it here also so that packager
apply patch from upstream.
The complete description is at :

Summary : in picasaweb export window, clicking new consistently
I would like to mention that I agree with him : the average user have no
idea of what a kernel is, which one to remove, and why an update cannot
be done when /boot is full. Keeping only the previous kernel would be
largely sufficient.
- Say user installs ubuntu from scratch, it gets 1 stock
Same problem here (very similar backtrace) with a G84 :

I have 1-2 X crashes per day :-(

I would like to update my last comment.
When installing fusion-icon, I lost _all_ configurations inside compiz, no
plugins was enabled.
I re-enabled quiet a fiew, but it took me some time to find everything.
But there is worse: I lost a lot of framerate: everything was very
smooth, but now with
I invastigated a little bit more. Using fusion-icon at session login
works _but_ : framerate is DAMN slow !
I removed fusion-icon at startup : again, no window decoration at startup. If I
enable compiz settings, compiz launches but because after fusion-icon
configuration I lost all standard
I reported bug #348432 and tried to install fusion-icon.
When fusion-icon is loaded at session startup, compiz is ok, BUT i have issues
with GTK/Compiz configuration conflicts.
When using compiz, I lost the window decoration configured from GTK (I have a
blue title with the wrong font).
Problem solved by update of the last three days :-) !

Public bug reported:
I tried using empathy to connect to my jabber account (I usually work
with Gajim, and it works fine). My account parameters are correct, and
using empathy with archlinux on another computer (same empathy release)
works fine.
After setting BUTTERFLY_PERSIST to 1 and

I tried : does not work.
I installed systemsettings of KDE4 : tests of my audio card through
systemsettings WORKS : I am not using pulseaudio by the way.
But still, with only xine backend, systemsettings manages to output nice
sounds, but not amarok :-(
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling amarok,
I tried playing ONE track in amarok with debug output in console.
Attached file is the debug output.

SOLVED : I installed libxine-ffmpeg and it works.
amarok package should have libxine-ffmpeg as a dependancy, no ?
What kind of solution could be done, I mean automatically ? When Jaunty
will be released, much more users may have this bug.

no sound in amarok
I posted a few hours ago a new bug for empathy, but I really suspect this is
the same as this one : I remember I could connect the first time, now I can't.
See description of Bug #361731

This is a bug related to gnome-keyring : when connecting with debug

export WINDOW_MANAGER=/usr/bin/compiz
It does not work :-(

I have the same bug. It works on other users (created newly).
I already had this bug when I migrated, but solved it after some updates. Now,
I worked on solving another bug
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/348432) by moving
configuration files.
Finally, I moved quiet all
I found the solution on a forum.
Open nautilus (alt+f2 for example) then :
right click on a folder that is appearing in your shortcuts open with
Select File browser
Try opening other shortcuts : it works !!

I have the same bug : I tried installing phone-backend-xine but still no sound
in amarok.
I don't have any error provided by Amarok, but asking for a track to be played
toggles play, then stop in the second.
I have no clue to where is the bug, but it is in the amarok package for
sure.

As this bug does not affect a new user created from jaunty, I really think it
is related to some gconf settings, and is not related directly to compiz.
I tried to find a way to change the package affected but could not find it,
only an update to the description.
What do you think ? I am
Mea culpa : I tried something simple, moved all my .gconf directory to
gconf-save, logout-login.
The session is exactly the same as invite (I mean settings loaded) _but_ the
bug is still there : it is not due to a setting in the .gconf directory :-(
I have no ideas where to seek for a solution.
Public bug reported:
I file a new bug because the other one wich is _matching_ this one talks
about window manager, but it is a window decorator problem (see Bug

After upgrading from intrepid, when login in with my account, no window manager
is launched. I can't move any window, no
I have _exactly_ the same bug !
With a fresh account (I created one for test purpose) this bug does not appear.
I am trying to figure out where does this come, but found nothing yet.
I have an nvidia 8600, Jaunty up-to-date. I am using compiz as a window
decorator, choosing System Prefs
I have the same king of problem when compiling an app using a library linked to
the symbol gzopen. I am using ubuntu 7.10 gutsy and I tried reinstalling zlib1g
and zlib1g-dev, libxml2, xsltproc (which is used by the gimp and linked to the
former symbol).
