I recently tested pressing PrintScreen inside several uncommonly-used
text editors while running in console mode. The key seems to make a few
of them, including NLED by Evan Weaver, become unresponsive forever.
Vim and Nano are unaffected though.

line tool that comes with Kleansweep has been able to find temp files
left over from disk-full-upon-compression ever since earlier this year,
but the Kleansweep GUI cannot. Use the -e option (search for temporary

It would be great if aspell detected duplicate words. MS Word's spell
checker has supported this for ten years, and WordPerfect even had this
way back in the DOS version. It is time that aspell caught up with
these apps. :-)

Here is a patch to the kleansweep-helper perl script. It adds a new
option, -e, that cleans temporary files.
Currently, -e only matches Gnome file-roller temporary files that get
left over when you try to create a tarball on a disk that's
