With new updates of 2.6.32-29 (or maybe before) the problem seems to be solved.
I have just removed nomodset from grub config and boot time seems OK and in
dmesg I only see once:

Yes I confirm that the problem with the scenario above is 100% reproducible
(with 2 Lucid).

xorg-edgers PPA do not solve the problem, I could still see render error
scrolling.
Even worse, after booting the screen remained black. No way to switch to

Now I can confirm the 100% efficiency of the workaround.
The splash screen is less nice but the notebook always boots in 30secs (from
"power on" to "login screen").
This is a great achievement.

The last logs from dmesg before the errors are:

Now I reproduce it 100%.

Workaround (works 100%): On the Karmic host, rm -rf .dbus/session-bus/*, then
reboot the Hardy host.

- remove rm -rf $HOME/.dbus on both hosts
- reboot both hosts
- retry
- on the remote host, $HOME/.dbus now belongs to root!!!
- remove it (as root).
Now it works, as far as I could understand.

And it occurs AFTER rebooting the remote host, of course.
