Hello!
Same problem here.
Rygel or (gupnp) uses NetworkManager only!, and I don't use NetworkManager
because it does not support bridged connections.
Please have a look at http://live.gnome.org/Rygel/FAQ.
I fixed the problem by recompiling gupnp.
This bug is really annoying an should be
Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS is also affected

Here is more information:
I used these 2 applications from qt4-demos
* /usr/lib/qt4/examples/effects/fademessage/fademessage
* /usr/lib/qt4/examples/effects/blurpicker/blurpicker
kvm + cirrus (24-bit color / 24 bits per pixel)
graphicsystem | native| raster | opengl | opengl (mesa
Another version of my tests, since it is unreadable in launchpad:
blurpicker + native - ok
blurpicker + raster - garbage
blurpicker + opengl - garbage
blurpicker + opengl (mesa git/master) - ok
fademessage + native - red/blue inverted
fademessage + raster - garbage
fademessage + opengl - garbage
Reini,
I just want to be sure were talking about the same thing,
color depth and bits_per_pixels are not the same.
On kvm + cirrus, this command give :
pim@pim-virt-pc1:~$ xdpyinfo | grep depth 24
depth 24, bits_per_pixel 24, scanline_pad 32
pim@pim-virt-pc1:~$
And on all machines I have
Hello!
This is not a bug in gnome-terminal, this is the way perl works.
When you run perl without argument, it will execute what's it is
receiving on it's standard input (your keyboard).
You can try this:
* run perl
* (now the cursor is on the next line)
* type print hello world\n;
* hit enter

a) I wrote it myself
b) I have sent it upstream
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2011-June/008997.html)
It should be included upstream soon, as it fixes the upstream bug
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23525
c) I tested it on a kvm machine using the
@Florian: It seems you're right...
qtdemo uses opengl as graphicssystem
qmlviewer uses raster as graphicssystem
So those 2 bugs are separated.
My patch fixes the opengl rendering issue

Some more info about qmlviewer:
qmlviewer -graphicssystem native - works
qmlviewer -graphicssystem opengl - does not work
qmlviewer -graphicssystem raster - does not work
it seems that qmlviewer without args uses the raster graphic system...
like unity-2d
qmlviewer -graphicssystem opengl work
