[Bug 54097] Re: Saving as PDF and PostScript doesn't keep translucency.

2007-10-16 Thread MaxNegro
Problem persists on gutsy, inkscape version 0.45. Saving to pdf works, saving to ps does not. Opening inkscape svg with eog and printing from there preserves transparency, so I feel this is not simply a .ps limitation... -- Saving as PDF and PostScript doesn't keep translucency.

[Bug 134893] Re: compiz compositing locks up computer for rv350 chip

2007-10-11 Thread MaxNegro
Actually I'm using 1680x1050, and used to use 1280x1024 before switching to this new monitor I bougth recently. :) I can confirm I'm still having no problems at all running with composite enabled and effects running (I use compiz-fusion, but I customized the list of plugins that gets loaded).

[Bug 82242] Re: speedstep-centrino.ko: missing kernel module in kernel 2.6.20-5.7

2007-10-10 Thread MaxNegro
Hi. I have a Toshiba Satellite SA50-111, with Centrino 1.6GHz. While stepping was working flawlessly in feisty, I tried upgrading to gutsy just to discover that this was no more the case. Tried your patch on cpufreq-detect.sh, but to no avail: it still tries to load cpufreq- speedstep, which fails

2007-10-06 Thread MaxNegro
Just a quick followup: i have the very same chip (PCI ID 1002:4153) but here compiz runs quite stable, after disabling the blacklist in the wrapper script. Took a while to understand why it didn't start: only error message I got was unable to activate graphic effects... -- compiz compositing

[Bug 78349] Re: Empty past backup directory causes simple-backup to fail silently

2007-02-11 Thread MaxNegro
It's strange that edgy version is reported to work fine. I had exactly the same problem yesterday (backup failed due to a flacky usb connection), and the only solution was to remove the directory with faulty backup. I can confirm the problem still exists in edgy, then. -- Empty past backup
