I'm having the same issue on my Dell XPS M1330 (although with Compiz so
the display looks different). Every so often when changing the volume (I
seem to particularly noticing this when increasing) the display will
make it appear as though the volume is all the way down when it
certainly isn't.

Thanks jdacronym, that is what I suspected after looking around. I'll
mark this Invalid for now, though stephanie feel free to re-open (click
the arrow next to pidgin and set status back to New) this bug if you
can't resolve the issue.

combination to toggle logging, under Options - Enable Logging. Are you
sure you aren't holding in any sort of shift or alt key? Have you tried
restarting Pidgin or

Hi sianj. What you want to do is open a terminal by going to Applications -
Accessories - Terminal, then type in sudo dpkg --configure -a without the
quotes. You will prompted for your password, so after you enter it and hit
enter, it should fix everything for you. Let me know if this makes sense
I see this bug hasn't been touched in quite a while, is this still an
issue in a recent release of Ubuntu?
