The problem is still present with the latest kernel (2.6.22-10).
A note: booting with acpi=off I can use the backlight switch button and
even the brightness button with Fn key, but I have to manually shut the
computer off.

Hi!
For the new kernel version I'll check later today and report here.
For other hotkeys, yes, the laptop has those multimedia keys for
launching email, web browser and other apps... but they don't work as of
this kernel (IIRC with Feisty those keys where working, but I
don't/didn't use them
I've checked with kernel version 2.6.22-9 but still doesn't work.
Do you need some more information or output from some command?

I don't think the problem would be package size... but
translations/localizations of the screenshots. Translation teams have to
be advised about the screenshots, and maybe even about the size the
image as been taken... those kind of things...
Is there a screenshot-style-guide for the doc team?

La segnalazione si riferisce solo a Feisty?
Il problema può essere dato dal fatto che la versione di Feisty è la
1.6.2, mentre quella che prendi via SVN è la 1.6.3, che è in backport
per Feisty non so quindi se sia un vero e proprio bug, dipende se è
stata aggiornata anche la traduzione
E' un problema solo relativo a Kubuntu mentre upstream è stato corretto,
oppure upstream non si presenta neanche?
