nevermind. Apparently at some point a package automuted all of my channels. I had un-muted master, but I'm such a Noob that I didn't know to double click on the volume control and un-mute all of the channels.Thats what you get when you make Linux for human beings I guess. -- sound

I can confirm this. Exactly the same error, except that I can't confirm that it ever worked with 7.10. I assume it does, but I used the 64 bit version of Gutsy. I switched over to 32 bit with Heron primarily to get the printer to work, only to find this error. -- libglib1.2 dependency
