switch workspaces. I have now idea how to reproduce, but I thought i

When installing Karmic on a friends computer it was stalled at the point
that it said configuring apt. We waited a few minutes and then got
this crash report. Then we waited another 2 and there was no movement,

Leann's post makes it clear that there will not be a fix until after
release of Jaunty. The Kernel is in code freeze pending release.
However, the work around posted works fine for me. It's not hard.

channels. I had un-muted master, but I'm such a Noob that I didn't
know to double click on the volume control and un-mute all of the

I tried both of the suggestions above, and neither of them seemed to
work. I did get to the point where it would let me install the
packages and the ip1800 2.70 was showing up as a driver I could select
in the printer configuration. But whenever I try to print a test page,
either with the test
I can confirm this. Exactly the same error, except that I can't confirm
that it ever worked with 7.10. I assume it does, but I used the 64 bit
version of Gutsy. I switched over to 32 bit with Heron primarily to get
the printer to work, only to find this error.
