I tried to repeat this and it was not repeatable with another hardware configuration (and kernel AMD64 2.6.17-10): A8N motherboard with Athlon 64 3200+ CPU and Asus EN7600GS GPU This first occured with: P5B motherboard with Intel E6300 CPU and Nvidia Quadro NVS280 GPU and kernel i686 2.6.17-10

I reinstalled Ubuntu from cd. I started terminal and executed: sudo apt-get install flumotion Installation was correct and running fine. But I was able to repeat the bug with graphical method as I did before. Repeated with AMD64 and i686-kernels. Both worked when installed from terminal. --
