This new script also works for me, thanks. However, with both versions of the script sound will stop working after ~30 seconds of inactivity. So it is not "sticky" in my case. An easy workaround is to play an audio file on infinite loop with volume down to zero. This will keep the speakers

linux-headers-5.8.1-050801_5.8.1-050801.202008111432 and booting with secure boot disabled will not anything. Still no sound, and the command workaround still works. On a side note, the built-in mic does work as expected. So I use bluetooth headphones for listening and built-in mic for speaking.
