(like alt+F1 for Ubuntu menu).
If xdotool is a common use in cairo-dock, it should be included in cairo-dock

I have Gnome and Ubuntu 8.04.1, apport enabled.
When cutting/joining scenes, kino crash and NOTHING appears in /var/crash.
I tried to run apport-gtk on kino, and it started to collect data while kino
was running (???)
The I tried to reproduce the bug put it did'nt happen. But while quitting kino,
Rpport proposed by launchpad. Don't know if it is appropriate

I have sometime this problem @ cold startup, but without any iPod plugged.
When I have no icon, no background, etc... at startup, I kill the process
launched with nautilus --no-default-window --sm-client-id default2 command
line, and then it restarts OK with the following command nautilus

All plugins are shown as non usable in the configuration manager.
Impossible to update any plugin via update manager, the result is always an
error.
Impossible to install new plugins.
The only way to get a workable eclipse is to download it
I have just installed uswsusp and its conf file is OK. Now S3 (suspend to ram)
is OK, but after another update-initramfs -u, the splash is still interrupted
by text (kernel 2.6.24-19 now).
I don't know if hibernation will work as the image size given in uswsusp.conf
= swap space - actual ram
caljohnsmith, yeah I did sudo update-initramfs -u. I know the usual commands
to run when the UUID of swap changed.
As my suspend to ram / hibernate functions are not working, I'll try uswsusp.
Strange it is not included in the Ubuntu normal install...

With Hardy 64bits : checking UUID in /etc/fstab and /etc/initramfs-
tools/conf.d/resume didn't help.
The only way I found to avoid usplash beeing interruped by text reading
files needed to boot is removing the quiet option, so those text
lines are now showing under the usplash.

If you use a classic xterm, ctrl+Z send current process to the background, and
fg recall it on front.
If you use ctrl+Z with gnome-terminal, it doesn't work. You may use ctrl+W as

Yes, if you put -vmargs inside any env variable, you'll have 2 times
-vmargs (as you can see in the first trace). The /usr/bin/eclipse shell
launch eclipse with -vmargs [snip - a lot of args here] ${VMARGS}.
So this is not a bug.

The worse thing is that base plugins from a fresh new install are not working.
Eclipse plugin manager is repporting a lots of plugin as not working because
some dependencies are missing !

Going in System | Administration | Software Sources and switching the server to
another server helped me. I'm French so I tried out Swiss servers.
But it doesn't explain why the cdupgrade from a DVD stops after the dialog
giving the list of packages that are not supported anymore.
