I want to update from update manager.
Since the download will take a while, I leave my laptop and I go to work.
After I back, this error shows up.
I don't do anything specific besides that.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Like Ravi, I didn't have to
run upgrade, but running rm, clean and update gave the Update Manager
the defibrillation it needed in order to resume what appears to be
normal operation.

Similar problem in Lucid Lynx (OO 3.2) except that when manually
specifying printer instructions for a document in the print-properties

I added ubuntu-audio-dev PPA and did an update. It only updated
pulseaudio software packages. It didn't update anything alsa.
The internal speaker is still not muted when using the headphone jack.

I just discovered this bug exists in Fedora 10 as well. Tried on my
Intrepid install, and the Fedora 10 Live CD, both are 64-bit. Fedora
also had the problem with my C and Z keys not working right.
Can anyone else comment on the C/Z keys, or any others besides the
multimedia keys that are not
Hm, I'm not sure if this is related to this bug or not -
My Z and C keys are rather hit and miss right now. I'll try and dig out my
Hardy Heron live CD to make sure that it isn't unrelated.
Shift-Z and Shift-C don't work at all. The rest of the standard keys seem fine.

technically this is true, freeware is software that is no cost. But it
implies to most people that it is proprietary freeware. And not free
software, or open source. The program is GPLv2 seems like it
would confuse people to call it freeware. o well;

yes, I also have the same bug with x86 Ubuntu. I did a fresh install
with edgy on Sep. 16th, and I started OO.o Writer, and when I go to save
it crashes, then recovers my document. Except EVERYTIME I try and save
it crashes and recovers my document. So the only way to truly recover my
document is
know. You have to know where the icons
are, and you have to know you're supposed to click on each one to see a
picture. THe pictures just don't show by default.
