2007-05-25 Thread Weiers Coetser
Unless I am misunderstanding something we can already download the firmware using the Getweb command in Feisty. It is downloaded as an .img file. It needs to be converted to a .dl file before being copied over to usr/share/foo2zjs/firmware. I wish that the process could somehow be automated in

2007-04-11 Thread Weiers Coetser
I had to re-install ubuntu recently and decided to install Feisty Beta. My printer did not work automatically. I followed the instructions to download the firmware (getweb 1020) and to change the downloaded .img file into a .dl file (sudo arm2hpdl sihp1020.img sihp1020.dl). I copied this

I found that getweb 1020 downloaded a sihp1020.img file. This needs to be converted to a sihp1020.dl file. The command to do this is sudo arm2hpdl sihp1020.img sihp1020.dl And then copy it to the /usr/share/foo2zjs/firmware/ folder. -- Instalation of HP Laserjet 1020 don`t functional
