Another update. I switched to a display port cable as opposed to usb-c,
and I was drawing and painting for a couple hours without issue.
Switching to usb-c was something that happened recently, which would
explain why I hadn't encountered the problem until recently.

in the repositories. Same behavior between versions. I understand that

Krita or Gimp and paint for a random amount of time. Eventually pen
input will stop. Seems to be random but so far happens between 0 - 10

No change. I booted v4.5 twice and it completed the process to my normal
desktop configuration, but no internet connection.
I went back to 4.2.0-27-generic and it booted up w/ the network connected.

Instead of the i386 files, I downloaded the amd64 files for the ckt1 thru 3
kernels.
When each booted to desktop, there was no connection to the internet.

to when my desktop appears. Gpu-manager.service consumes about 18 seconds
(from systemd-analyze). Based on the output of systemd-analyze plot, it looks

When lightdm starts during boot the screen brightness is dimmed to its
lowest value. Once logging onto the system and going into to the System
Settings->Screen dialog and then setting the correct brightness, the
value is not saved therefore at the next boot you have to do the
Resolved/fixed. Did a complete removal of agrsm06pci-2.1.80_20100106_i386.deb
and associated files, reinstalled the latest version, and efax-gtk 3.2.3 works
fine.

Problem solved. This happens when there are too many access points using
the same channel in the same area. In my apartment building I was
showing three different networks (other than mine) and they were all
using channel 11. So as I got farther away from my AP I guess the other
networks interfered
