solves the problem. Hope the pidgin-sipe team fixes this and includes it

Actually you are probably right, on the other bug (#786682 ) you mention the

Having the same issue, running 11.04 clean install. When the buddy list
is focused, and the mouse is placed on top of the panel, the menu does
not populate anything but the application name. See screenshot. Please

Bottom line is, global menu bar works for individual conversations,
apparently, but not always for the Pidgin buddy list (the one that
matters when you want to actually configure Pidgin.

Same here, installed 10.04 LTS and GRUB2 creates two menu entries for

I wanted to note that the vmware virtual machine that I'm using is running on
an ntfs partition, vmware is running with root privileges and the vmx file has
a line added that says:
mainMem.useNamedFile=FALSE
This so that it doesn't give me any issues when running in the ntfs
partition.

I can confirm this but on 8.10 beta on an HP Pavilion DV6870us with a
broadcom wireless card. WIll try Updating initramfs after blacklisting
ssb to see if it makes a difference.

Same problem here, but when I type the setxkbmap it gives me an error: 'Error
loading new keyboard description'

yeah the initial splash and the various starting messages arent seen, im
using a PC, video is intel 845G, and loading edgy gets preety slow!!
