hplip is written to suite version py2.6 and py3.X.
While building the code certain binaries are linked with the default python
library. When default python version is changed to higher version, the code
needs to be recompiled to link to the python library which is defaulted now.

and let us know if the installation proceeds without any issue.

There seem to be an issue with the auto installer script . While we take
a look at it can you try manually installing the hplip.
Here are the steps.
1 . Go inside the folder hplip-3.15.2. It should be created at the same
location where auto installer was run.

Can you try rebooting the printer. Delete the exiting print queues for this
printer in system-config-printer and reconfigure the printer using command

Recommend you to use hpcups drivers.
Please launch the terminal and go to the directory hplip-3.12.2
(source folder) and run configuration

like, hpcupsfilterc_1.bmp, hpcupsfilterk_1. bmp, hpcups_jobX.out.

I have just installed Ubuntu 10.04 in my HP 520 Laptop and it's working
fine except one. I am using Huawei E 1550 Modem for my wireless internet
connection but Ubuntu 10.04 cannot detect it. So, I cannot use internet
now. What should I do now? I would be happy if anyone help
