I use deb, snap and flatpak packages, that is why I have installed
"Software" package to have them all on the same app.
1. Open Software and at the title bar click on Explore button.
2. Left of title bar click on search icon.
3. Type in: pinta
4. Pinta app is displayed.
Now I have new laptop and not having this problem anymore. It looks like
I was the only one having this problem. Because I don't need solution
for this problem any more I think this bug report can be closed down.

Anyone to get into this crashing problems I strongly suggest to do the
following:
1. Check Pinta version. Open Terminal and type in:
pinta --version
2. If version 1.6 is displayed, you are using 6 years old Pinta version. Pinta
1.7
Daniel, on Feb 2 I have changed to "Ubuntu on Wayland" at login as you
suggested and up till now I have had no issues with freezing.
But yesterday after few months I needed to record my screen and found
out that SimpleScreenRecorder program does not capture video if wayland

Today happened again. I was working with remote desktop Remmina to
access my work-computer using Windows and suddenly mouse icon
disappeared and keyboard stopped responding.
This time background musing running on my Ubuntu host did not stop
playing, it looks like laptop did not completely freeze.

Today after 25 days without a freeze Ubuntu froze when I was in remote desktop
using Remmina.
- mouse pointer disappeared
- music running on Ubuntu was playing normaly
- I did ctrl+alt+f3 like suggested in #38 and kill remmina process with "kill
-9 " but Ubuntu was still frozen when I switched
I have now disabled the HideTopBar extension, but it is going to be
difficult to find out if this is the cause of the problem, because
freezes happens sometimes one's per month. I don't know if I can live
without it such a long time. :-)

Interesting talking about devil... It happened right now. Remmina
suddenly froze. This time I also lost mouse (no mouse pointer) and after
few seconds also music stopped playing on my PC, this indicates this
time whole system froze.
For #22 for step 2 I am attaching files.

"-b 1" is probably not correct switch you have requested, but correct

Today computer freeze happened again.
1. I have had no choose but to hard press power-off button.
2. I have exeucted "journalctl -b 0" > journalctl_0.txt
3. I have executed "journalctl -b 161 > journalctl161.txt
4. I tried "journalctl -b 1 >journalctl_1.txt" like you suggested, but

but "journalctl -b 1" in my case returns data from "April 2020", that is
why I have searched for the biggest number to get that date data. I am

On Ubuntu 20.04 few months ago I installed Calibre from Ubuntu Store
official repository.
I have been using Calibre for months, but today opening it from Ubuntu
Launcher and nothing happens, no error.
Executing:
calibre
from terminal and the output is:
The same day after I have reported this problem, kworker stopped consuming CPU.
I am pretty sure it was kworker/5 a problem.
Now I have executed "top" command, typed L and search string kworker and
all of the kworker processes are 0 CPU consumption (see attachment).

Like yesterday I have noticed my CPU on Leonovo Thinkpad T590 laptop has
starting to be consumed by kworker for 80% of 2-CPU 4-core processor.
I also see fan works like crazy and "ejects" hot air non stop. This has
never happened in my 6 months of having this new laptop.
I can confirm steps in #4 fixes a problem in Ubuntu 18.04. Thanks.

Hi,
I am reading docker documentation
https://training.play-with-docker.com/security-seccomp/ and there are samples
how to use strace command for example to strace the whoami there is a sample to
be run from terminal:
strace -c -f -S name whoami
When I execute this
In both cases "low graphic mode" true or false the "tab switcher" background is
too transparent too.
This happened to me first time and I am using Ubuntu more then 10 years
(different versions of course but the same! laptop).
I pressed Alt key and hold and then press Tab key. Still holding Alt
Now I have turned off low graphic mode in terminal:
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity lowgfx false
And ever worse problem appeared with launcher icons becoming black. I
restarted computer and problem persists. See attachment.
If I turn on lowgfx again with:
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity

Update is installed, but issue is the same.

That's it! On firejail web page there is statement that this is bug in
PulseAudio 7.0, but it looks like it effects PulseAudio 8.0 also,
getting version by typing: pulseaudio --version
Work-around solution described in your firejail.wordpress.com link fixes
the problem.

On Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop 32-bit.
1. Login into Ubuntu with normal user.
2. Everything works fine also in Firefox without a problem.
3. Wait for few minutes that screen gets locked or press Super+L to lock a
screen.
