I suspect it was just a user trying to plug in a usb drive from the Guest
account, as mount, mkdir, and 'open' were the operations denied.

Lubuntu 12.4 failed installation for me. I had over 10 Gb in / and over
10 Gb in /home. Maybe my 2Gb swap space was too small? /boot was just
under 50 Mb from memory - maybe that was the issue? My RAM is 512Mb if
I remember rightly.

Scratch my last workaround (#13). It didn't work. This one does though
Stop gnome-keyring ssh-agent from starting. Then ssh-agent and ssh works
as expected.
To stop gnome-keyring ssh-agent from starting do:
sudo mv /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-keyring-ssh /etc/xdg/autostart

10.04 seemed to upgrade successfully but it gave this error and now the
STA driver for bcm4312 produces SystemError: installArchives() failed
when I try to activate it

Does hibernate (suspend to disk) work? Do you have a swap partition
larger than the amount of installed ram?
I have same problem. Managed to get hibernate to work by installing
package uswsusp (which includes s2ram and s2disk). Now hibernate works
but suspend to ram does not.

I understand the guilty device is a UB6250 from various posts, but I
think that may be a false presumtion as according to the ene technology
official site all their card readers can be used with various OS but
there is no UB6250 listed.
