I have VirtualBox 6.1 installed. It was working perfectly, then suddenly
I get "kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)" when I attempt to start a
virtual machine.
My Linux system is 5.11.0-27-generic #29~20.04.1-Ubuntu.
Is this fault because a new Linux kernel has been released but
VirtualBox not
Thanks. I hope it gets acted on! Its not a problem for me anymore, but
it did cost me a lot of time (trying to figure out why my Qt based app
wouldn't display the cheese whereas Geany would!).

Just an addendum to my comment above. I would describe this as a serious
problem with a default install of XUbuntu. I spent two days trying to
work out why my Qt based app was not displaying certain unicode
characters (eg cheese wedge). It was just showing the white rectangle.
Other apps, eg Geany,
In a default fresh install of XUbuntu 20.04, Qt based applications, eg
Featherpad and Qt-Creator, will not display certain unicode characers,
eg, U+1F9C0 CHEESE WEDGE 🧀 (a white rectangle is shown instead). Non Qt

I'm not sure if this is related but just in case. I upgraded from
16.04.1 LTS to 18.04.2 - straight after I started getting alarms from my
SNMP monitoring, low voltage VBat etc. Upon checking the sensors output
I can see it's all messed up:

hit this (or seeminly this same bug) doing an install of server 18.04.2

I assume it's relatively well known, but here's where I landed.
My plan to fix this, was to bypass XKM support completely, by
integrating the parser into the server. Currently the server forks
xkbcomp to build a particular keymap, xkbcomp produces (lossy) XKM
files, and then the server consumes XK
Hi I found a work-around which was to set close lid to do nothing. Can't
remember how I did it now. But this was months ago and couldn't continue
without doing something. Now I just lock the screen with ctrl-alt-l and close
the lid.
Maybe someone else who still has the issue could help. Sorry.
This has been the advice since day 1. It's obviously not what many want.
I'd expect that someone at Canonical might have a better chance at spurring
communication between GRUB and BTRFS than a mere end-user.

When the screen is locked (either ctrl+alt+l or through power manager

the Trusty repos.

that page to compile & install updated modeswitch packages. When
repackaged, there should be a dependency on libusb1-de
Just wanted to say this is fixed now. I am running 3.11.0-14-lowlatency
and the bug is gone.

I ran Totem from the command line and opened a target .mpg file. It
errored with an on-screen message box that reads:
No window title
An error occurred
Internal data stream error
The box has an "ok" button.
In the command prompt window, the following message was printed:
