Binary package hint: pioneers
When adding computer players to a game (using the Add Computer Player
button in the server window) often the server will use the same AI name
more than once, differentiating them by adding a trailing underscore.
This is by no means a critical
Confirmed here too. I was in the process of filing a new bug report for
this issue.
Some extra information:
I'm running Ubuntu 7.19 x86_64 with all updates currently installed
$ uname -r
2.6.22-14-generic
$ locale
LANG=en_CA.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8
LC_NUMERIC=en_CA.UTF-8
LC_TIME=en_CA.UTF-8
After giving my machine a thorough workout the bug seems to be gone. It
appears it was the irqpoll option that was the culprit. I likely won't
have a chance to test out Hardy for a while, but when I get a chance
I'll update this bug report. In the meantime I'll set this one as

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.22-14-generic
I just upgraded from kernel 2.6.20-16 to 2.6.22-14 (using Synaptic). After the
upgrade my three USB ports no longer function, and my built-in webcam (which is
recognized as a USB 2.0 device) no longer works. When I
I just rebooted, plugged in my mouse into all three external USB ports,
tried out the webcam (using $cheese), and inserted a USB flash drive.
Here's the tail end of dmesg when everything is working properly:
$dmesg
...
[ 57.925744] Bluetooth: RFCOMM ver 1.8
[ 67.902556] usb 2-2: new low speed
Prior to the upgrade I had inserted the irqpoll option in /boot/grub/menu.lst
I looks like after the upgrade some of my kernel options were reset. I'll put
that one back in and see if that helps solve the problem. (Thanks for pointing
out that it was missing.)
As for Hardy Heron, I'll see
...and the serial-posting continues. I've managed to get the card
reader to work by running the following commands:
$sudo modprobe -r sdhci
$sudo modprobe -r mmc_block
$sudo modprobe sdhci
$sudo modprobe mmc_block
After running those I popped a card into the slot and it mounted with no hassle.
please let me know (and possibly include what command
I should run to provide you with that information) and I'll pass it along. You

Correction: in my intro I stated that the card reader had worked under
Edgy. My mistake. I meant to say Feisty. I didn't own this computer
back in the days of Edgy. Not that that bit of minutia probably makes a
lot of difference.
