I got this error after switch /bin/sh to point to /bin/bash instead of
/bin/dash. Switching sh back to dash immediately solved problem. fwiw,
additional couch process messages can be found in

trick. Let me explain what finally needed to be done to get my two clients
running, for posterity. Client A is a desktop with a A7V8X-MX motherboard,
AMD Athlon XP, circa 2003. Client B is a Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop with

I'm seeing this same error with 9.10 on my client desktop, where the
image is over 200 MB. My 9.04 image is below that and works fine. The
strange thing is that this is on my desktop client--my laptop client
works fine!

a/o 2010-01-28, still a problem. If you change(mv) /etc/X11/cursors
/oxy-white.theme to /etx/X11/cursors/oxy-white.theme.disable (or
similar), the change will stick without being too intrusive as the oxy-
white cursors won't be found.
