Mate's version 1.6 came out - and I thought: Well sure, after so much time this
bug surely has been eliminated and so I removed the hold with dpkg for packages
matebluetooth and libmatebluetooth and tried the new packages from 1.6 ..
and failed.
Yes, this bug is still present in Mate 1.6

@R Beekman
There is no solution right now, but there is an work around. You can follow the
way trek1701 did show us in post #16. It worked for me at that time. But, after
migrating to Nadia, I had the same problem again because of packages version
1.4.0. This time, I have solved more simply

I confirm that the solution suggested in post #16 works. Maybe it's
temporary but it really works. Thanks Trek1701 !
Btw, I did not reboot the laptop, it worked anyway :)

A temporary solution (but not a fix) is to downgrade from actual version
1.2.1-2+precise to version 1.2.0-1.
Here is how to:
Download old packages:
32 bits:
wget
http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/import/m/mate-bluetooth/libmatebluetooth_1.2.0-1_i386.deb
wget
Solution suggested in previous post work ok and it's best option until this bug
is resolved.
Thanks !!!
