OK, I just wanted to add that fglrx 8.41.7 no longer crashes on exit, although it introduces (or increases) another bug: torcs is slow in results only mode. -- fglrx causes Torcs to crash when races end https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121516 You received this bug notification because you are a

Hi again Bryce, The crashes also happen with fglrx 8.40.4 and its lovely watermark. By the way, is this a torcs issue or a fglrx issue? -- fglrx causes Torcs to crash when races end https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121516 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu

Hi Bryce, I've attempted installing your debs. Just glancing at the name suggests I need gutsy's kernel. OK, no issues. I'm not afraid of installing it. I downloaded both your linux-restricted modules and gutsy's image from packages.ubuntu.org and installed them without issues. Attempting to

Hi Miguel, We are in the process of uploading a new -fglrx driver, which fixes some issues when exiting X. I'm curious if your problem may be similar. Would you mind testing installation of fglrx 8.37.6 and see if it resolves the issue? (I've also created Gutsy debs at

Sure, Tribe 2 will be out shortly, and testing after that point will be valuable. Yes, there are some minor changes that are made in the Ubuntu packaging beyond the fglrx proprietary package, however nothing that would affect this crash. If you've hand-installed the driver and found it crashed,
