I've encountered the 2nd error message:
ERROR: No configuration file found
No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found

When my USB disk was created by usb-creator-gtk and it had crashed
during the process. From my dmesg:

Yes, you're right. usb-creator-gtk did crash for me right at the end
(when I made that live USB).
Today, I burnt the Ubuntu Gnome daily build (2nd Oct) and made a
bootable USB from that and it crashed again:

0x7f23e815aed0
I quickly made a USB installer of Ubuntu Gnome Daily build for 30th downloaded
9 hours ago (approx 11pm 30th Sept GMT) .
When I tested it (just once) it gave me the same error as before

I have tested 2 daily builds for 1st October:
Ubuntu Gnome daily build gives the same error as above ('BusyBox
v1.20.2...')
But the plain Ubuntu daily build gives this:

I sent in several updates via email but they haven't appeared so I will
repeat them here:
Today I have tested another DVD burnt under Windows on a modern Dell laptop.
I checked the md5 sum.
Same result as all the other tests.

When I boot the latest DVD on my
I was able to test this out, after making a few minor adjustments to my
setup in order to mirror the machine that you were having issues with,
and I ran into the same issues with both live USB and live CD
installation attempts. I verified the disks, and was able to
successfully install Saucy with
Confirmed, but not necessarily against ubiquity.

That's the most up to date one that I've gotten to work, and due to it's
proximity to Beta2, it should include the same functionality. Generally
with the daily builds, by this time any glaring issues have already been
reported, and I haven't seen any with this one, so If you'd like to be

I just tested the i386 version and got the same result.
So far I have tested the following ISOs:
saucy-desktop-amd64 (ubuntu gnome daily build) burnt at 4x
ubuntu-gnome-13.10-beta2-desktop-amd64, md5sum checked, burnt at 4x
ubuntu-13.10-beta2-desktop-amd64, md5sum checked, burnt at 8x

specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people
I'll be able to check this out tomorrow. I'll be able to put my hands on
a test machine and try to grab any relevant information that I can. I'm
assuming that no logs were generated during the process because the
install failed so early. If there is anything else that might be
