I've installed Kubuntu Gutsy Tribe 5, and I'm still experiencing the
same difficulty in downloading anything from the repositories. It
hangs at about 27-30% when I try to fetch updates in Adept.
I've just tried using OpenDNS to see if that makes any difference, and
I'm afraid it doesn't make it
Another interesting command is: df -h to see your disk space.
This bug isn't possible.. you still have only internet at konqueror ?

Please attach here your /etc/apt/sources.list and do at terminal:
ps xua |grep update-manager to see if it's running. You have apt-get
locked so that's why you can't use it.

I attach the results of the df -h and ps xua |grep update-manager, together
with a copy of the etc/apt/sources.list.
I've just tried Kontact and Kopete and both work fine.
I tried apt-get update several times. Some times it said it was connecting to
the server, but failed to download anything.
I have absolutely no idea why, but Adept Updater has just this second
started working! It's appeared in my panel saying there are updates
waiting, and is busily downloading them as I write this!
