Well, the kernel issue is now defintily fixed, so it shouldn't be a problem in the future, libv4l2 can now be disabled, so we can workaround any issues with it. As for libavcodec, they don't offer any garanties on the API, so it usually causes some breakdowns from time to time, but this is true
