Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed
OK, I installed Fontforge and did some checking. All of the faces I
cited do have all four standard fonts (regular, italic, bold, bold-
italic). However, they all have exactly the same number of glyphs for
each of the four fonts.
Furthermore, I have numerous other fonts installed on my computer
I can now confirm the following:
It does not happen just with Junicode. It happens with Bitstream Charter
and Sans, FreeSans and FreeSerif, Liberation Sans and Serif, Linux
Libertine, Nimbus Sans and Serif, and Verdana. And it does not happen
just with bold, it also happens with italic and

Please look at your results for Liberation again. I just tried both Sans
and Serif and the characters did not drop out. However, the three glyphs
(026A, 0361 and 0283) changed to a different font when I applied bold.
You can see that they are a different font because the characters are
I also show the issue with Junicode in Scribus 1.3.4 in Hardy. Screenshot
attached.
One thing I noticed in OOo is that using Junicode condensed bold works, it is
only the Junicode regular where I see the issue. Scribus drops the characters
even using condensed.

Here you go - attached screenshots. I tried with different fonts (Linux
Libertine. Liberation, Liberation Sans, Junicode Condensed, Junicode)
and only Junicode had problems with bold. Liberation to my eye does not
change into Liberation Sans, the ɪ and ʃ look a bit bolder than should
though, but
