Hi
Just a short update to this.
I have upgraded to 11.04, but that had no effect on the wireless - it's still
not visible in networkmanager.
There is the following info from the 11.04 system:

scanning; cat
I have a different AMD nile laptop:

Sorry to say, but the 2.6.38-rc6 didn't do the trick for me. Just using
it with the 10.10 ubuntu resolved in a commandline logon screen. Then I
tried the natty from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.38-rc6-natty/ in a live session using a usb stick, but

The 2.6.38-rc6 kernel contains a possible fix for this problem. A PPA of this
kernel should soon be available at
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/
This kernel will also soon make it's way into the upcoming Ubuntu 11.04 Natty
Narwhal, hopefully before alpha 3 on March 3rd.
