Marc, this bug looks similar to bug 813190.
Since we don't have the machine, in order to confirm whether the bug in
brcm80211 has already been fixed, could you help to test again using the
natty kernel in -updates ? Thanks.

The brcm80211 driver in the staging tree was newly added in Natty and it
bought this bug. Since the bug was reported for the certification
purpose and the proprietary Broadcom STA driver is confirmed to fix, it
could make sense to close the bug.
I will assign the bug to Anthony to see if further
I've install the driver package and see wl.ko is being used. The

The hardware has a Broadcom wireless adapter and it is using
brcm80211, the Broadcom driver in the kernel/staging. It could be of
bad quality in 2.6.38.
can you try to install the proprietary Broadcom driver package bcmwl-

Apparently, pressing the shift key to get into grub stop the rebooting.
Please note that this system only locks up if you are connected to a
wireless network and use the physical wifi slider. I was only able to
get the output from /sys/kernel/debug/dell_laptop/rfkill before I used
the slider.
Yes, in 10.10 OEM was working (as it shows in the results Jeff was
pointing), but it is no longer working in 11.04.
This is no longer blocking certification, though, so putting importance
to Medium.
Marc, can you get Keng-Yü the information required?

Is it possible to install Maverick or oem-enabled image to see if this
is a regression?
We need to figure out if the fish package is taken care to submit

Additional info... this seems incredibly common to the Dell systems.
All Dells I've tested so far exhibit this behaviour.
The upside is that I finally managed to get wireless turned back on on
the Latitude 2120. The downside is that I had to reinstall the OS to do
so.
For whatever reason,
