9xxx beta drivers due to its not a supported driver by ubuntu. You need
to finish the upgrade than sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx (if your
using amarath's repo) and type n until you find where it installs the
l-r-m for
I restarted ubuntu and the problem does not seem to occur anymore.
Sorry for not having restarted the computer to check whether the problem

I have seen this behavior as well. In many cases, I have retained
keyboard control in whatever application had focus when the screensaver
activated, but cannot navigate the desktop. Hotkeys do work, but I am
usually unable to cleanly log out so I can restart X. I usually wind up

I have now found out that also support for the on-board sound is
missing. Interesting enough both the ethernet card and the on-board
sound are detected by isapnp:

My laptop was very cold in Dapper. Now in Edgy it has a lot of more hot.

I have exactly the same problem with a Dell 700m which I upgraded to
6.10 Edgy from 6.06 Dapper.
Suspend worked fine before the upgrade, is unusable now.
Hibernate works fine (after a manual fix with mkswap,
I think I must have messed something up when trying to use the CVS
snapshot.
./configure looks like it works well.
but make gives an error. s far as I can understand this is the relevant

My Epson Stylus D88 printer normally produces excellent prints (although
borderless doesn't work). However, when printing rotated PostScript
files the output looks horrible - something like 72 dpi without
antialiasing or proper grey tones.

Nicolò, the arrow keys aren't mapped because compatibility mode acts
exactly like the original vi, down to bugs if I recall correctly.
For this bug, I can understand the desire to have vi start vim. However,
if someone wants to start vim, they need to run vim. One wouldn't use
the command emacs

I had other solution on my mind.
There is libwxgtk2.6 in edgy that uses gtk+2.10 .
What I was about to suggest (but did not as it looks obvious) is to
recompile audacity against wxgtk2.6 for edgy.
There is new release of audacity since Oct 30 anyway ;-) .
