I managed to solve the problem by setting 'Configure S-ATA as RAID' in
the bios to 'Yes'. No idea why this works, because I have only on sata-
drive and no raid.
The working IDE Configuration is:
- Onboard IDE Operate Mode [Enhanced Mode]
- Enhanced Mode Support On [S-ATA]
- Configure S-ATA as
Still seems to be a bug in Feisty, Herd 3. Will it ever be fixed as the
patch is already here?

but got the same kind of problem: Later the screensaver was on and it
had forgotten my password! Now I am stuck with uncompleted upgrade. I
think people should be advised to turn off any screensaver before

Nice tip with deleting ~/.azureus-/logs. That worked fine for me too,
and I was experiencing the same crashing problem as everyone else.
Deleting the entire .azureus directory is annoying, since it loses the
torrents. Hopefully the fact that deleting logs 'cures' this problem
will be the clue

The dialogs for opening and saving files are way too small. I have to
resize them everytime on order to be able to select a folder
comfortably.

The problem was an old XGL configuration that had belonged to Egdy. I
removed it from /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom, and now there is no problem
anymore.
However, I found the error message quite confusing. Of course there is
no file named custom.conf, so the Make sure that the file exists
looks quite
is everyone else using flash7 when they are getting this crash?

I did run check cd for defects. The results were:On
the two Kubuntu 6.06 disk I have, were showing all
oks untill it reached
checking./casper/filesystem.squashfs. The blue
progress bar cycled through a few times, then showed:
mismatch then continued checking the disk. Followed
by all oks after
