I hacked together some custom packages from Debian experimental for
libdrm_2.3.0 and mesa_6.5.2. Using these, the libGL warning: 3D driver
claims to not support visual 0x5a is still reported.
Following installation of these packages and an X server restart

May be related, my Canon Lide25 (plustek backend) scanner which worked
in Edgy, does not scan using kooka or xsane/xscanimage. It pretends to
scan, the scanner bar does not move or light up in the preview/final
scan, and it produces a black scan.

Solution seems to be simple: configure with --disable-mp3lib. On my
system, it plays mp3 files just fine after compiling with that. I had
ffmpeg installed, but even after removing it (I even made sure
libavcodec and libavformat were removed, too), mp3 playback still works.

I was using the stock 2.6.17-10-generic that came with kubuntu but
compiled my own
Linux psyserveftp 2.6.19.2 #1 SMP Sat Jan 27 16:28:06 EST 2007 i686
GNU/Linux
This didn't change anything with the mixer settings though..
/boot/config-2.6.19.2 attached if needed. Thanks very much.

strip down the site block by block until you find the html block which
causes this.
Anyway, I doubt that this only is the case on ubuntu. Maybe the site
admin wants to investigate first? Have you tried to contact him about
his site being really slow on firefox?

@Gillam: You can compile the ati driver Version 8.28.8. you have to change the
shell to /bin/bash:
ln -s /bin/bash /bin/sh
The driver doesn't compile with the standart ubuntu dash-shell.

attempts to define includes a - in its name, which is not permitted.

Tried that 3 times - no crash. But the music stuttered for a few
seconds while the bookmarks window came up.
Also, after the bookmarks window comes up once, there are no symptoms
from opening it again (until Firefox is restarted).
For my part, I don't mind the crash since I can avoid it;

package, linux-source-2.6.17. Does the Edgy live CD still work for you?
If so some additional information about your hardware would be helpful.
