I have also a freeze with Braid screensaver on a Nvidia Geforce Go 7600, the

I instlled todays updates, rebooted machine, and kftpgrabber takes
forever to start again. Something is amiss with it still.
Shouldn't have to delete the kftpgrabberrc file to fix it after every
reboot.

We will need the log files, specifically /var/log/syslog and
/var/log/installer/debug, in order to find the true cause of the error for
them. These can be obtained by running the installer with the --debug option.

I'd like to re-open this bug for Feisty. We have four Core 2 duo
machines with an Intel Q965 chipset that are all losing ticks at about
three seconds per minute (three hours per day). This appears to be an
upstream kernel bug with both 2.6.19 and 2.6.20, since this occurs for
us with both Feisty
Changing package to emacs-snapshot: emacs-snapshot includes its own
version of tramp, rather than using the tramp package.

I don't think postinst is the best option. All the work should be done at
runtime with l-r-m IMHO.
With the detection been done at runtime would be possible to have nvidia +
fglrx installed at the same machine. This is really usefull for livecds and
usb-hd (I have one with feisty installed that

yeah, i can reproduce the crash. not every try, but every third or so.
here are my steps:
- go to ubuntuforums.org and open any thread
- save it by file = save page as. select complete website and save it as
.php site.
- open the file with file = open file
firefox then starts to open empty
Also, I should note that the cx8800 driver unloads and loads properly
when I use modprobe. So for example, once the machine is booted with
the recompiled kernel, if I execute
modprobe -r cx8800
the module unloads properly as checked with a subsequent lsmod.

Once started X works fine. Problem is, it takes approx. 20 min for X to start.

The .asoundrc I attached uses softvol to create a master channel. (Normally one
can not overwrite the master, but in this case it does work since master
controls nothing)
It also upmixes to 5.1.
The problems lie with the driver, and will not get fixed judging from
what upstream has to say

ifupdown won't be able to know if I need ipv6 since ipv6 uses auto-
configuration when a router advertisement arrives and some applications
use link-local addresses

Something very similar happens if you input the user password, but leave
the group password blank.
In my case, I entered my user password, and accidentally hit enter
instead of tab, and the NM Applet disappears just like above.
I think that the above might be crashing for a similar reason as he
I too desire this functionality... Many times the group password is
static, but the user password changes, so saving them BOTH is not very
useful.
