purely down to HAL as I'm running on a desktop with no battery or

I am a victim of the Kernel 2.6.20-13+-14 acpi bug #96480, so I have to use
kernel 2.6.20-12 of earlier to run Feisty.
After the last software updates this morning metacity crashed for the first
time (see attached file).
