The package seems indeed quite messy on this, I see 3 icons in debian + another
in the source, 1 desktop file in debian and another in the source and 1 menu.
The only icon which is installed is neither used by the .desktop nor by the

I only use AGP cards. I would expect PCI cards do not suffer from this

My screen saver is not set to random, but to popsqaures (2D screen saver).
I believe the machine is entering a sleep/suspend mode and cannot return from
it (even though my power management is set to never do anything).

Disabling DRI in the xorg config eliminates the problem (but also
disables all 3D).
This doesn't work for me. I've disabled GLX and DRI and the problem
still exists on my ibook 7500 mobility radeon using the FOSS drivers.
I'm assuming the reports on here are getting pushed upstream to X.org
I've asked the package maintainer, Fabio Massimo Di Nitto, if he can
indicate when the Launchpad fix will be rolled out and this bug closed:

another explanetion of the latest part:
1. execute sync; echo 1 /sys/power/pm_trace; /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force
WARNING: after this step you have only 3 minute before the debug data will be
lost.
2. try to resume the PC and if it freeze reboot it
3. after boot, get dmesg and post it here.

..currently using the VESA driver :(
Again, the problem only showed up after upgrading to gutsy.
