I'm had the same problem. It seems like dm_mod isn't getting autoloaded
and if it's not loaded, then cryptsetup reports an incompatible
libdevmaper.
Trying doing modprobe dm_mod first and see if hte problem doesn't go
away?

This looks to me like a duplicate of LP #152362, IcedTea Java on AMD64
breaks for an unknown reason when built in the buildd's.

That's true. There's no relation between the error message and the sound
capture. I turned up a few control levels in alsamixer and my Skype is
working fine again. Thank you all.
