After further poking around, newly created XCF files are getting
thumbnail icons but the ones I copied over from a backup are not.
Simplt opening an XCF in GIMP (not saving) seems to trigger icon
creation. AI files do not get a thumbnail icon either way.

When I choose a page size bigger than A4, I get funny results. eg. Choosing A3
will give me a page size of 300mm Wide 296mm high in any orientation.
This is the same in writer and in draw. I cant even set the user sizes

No, you need -17.36. It should become available soon.

Can you see if disabling the animation plugin in compiz makes this go
away? Install compizconfig-settings-manager and run
System-Preferences-Advanced Desktop Effects Settings and uncheck the
Animations plugin in there.

I've got the same problem with my Ubuntu Hardy heron, in Gutsy Gibbon it
worked (the WLAN Stick).
I hope there will be a soluotion soon!

Messie : Can you uninstall the locales installed from my PPA, remove my
PPA from your repositories and try the ones from hardy-proposed to
confirm that they works correctly?
I tested again all the locales installed from hardy-proposed and they
all works correctly for me.

The good news here is that I'm an idiot!!! :)
I'm very, very new to xen and had accepted pretty much the defaults for
the xend configuration.
I was setting up my DomU to use routed traffic, however, my xend config
was configured to use bridging.

Firefox freeze and turns black and white

In the drop.io website when hitting the 'Drop it' button to upload a
file firefox freezes and turns black and white. Had to kill the process
and start firefox over, thankfully it restored in it's previous state
and I continued my work.
